Q: Should fast food companies be held responsible for the obesity problem in the US? Defend your point of view. A: I think that reading the packet and watching the first and second video had shown that fast food is held responsible for American health. Obesity is a big issue. The movie of "Supersize Me," proven that it is the fast food that people are overweight. The guy who did a experiment for 30 days that by eating fast food three time a daily has caused a major health issues for fellow American. In the movie two girls sued McDonald's. The reason why they were overweight was McDonald's fault. Watching the whole movie had proven exactly that fast food has been unhealthy to individual. In the movie "Food Inc, " the gov't or the FDA are hiding whats in our food. They don't want consumers to find out what is put into their food. Labels such as can food are told but not all of it. How the food was distributed is disturbing like when they were killing the animals or when they mistreated the animals.

Q: Did any of these texts change your view own eating habits? Explain.
A: Yes, in some circumstances. I try not to eat fast food as much. I like eating fast food but I don't eat it as daily. I know that it has bad effect to my health. I never knew that it would be a problem to the community but global wide. Fast food is a major issue and it is quite surprising that the FDA don't tell where the food is coming from. When I buy food, I know am more cautious and curious if the label in the can of food are true. For example, a bottle of vitamin juice still has low sugar of other flavor that's been pit into the drinks. Its really shocking to see why the govt would hide and stuff but I am glad to know some knowledge behind the food that been put into our food.

Q: Why did you think these messages (Supersize Me, Ominivore's Dilemma) are being sent? Why the current interest in food politics.
A: They are being sent because consumers deserve to know whats in their food and how it would effect their health. Consumers are feeling unhealthy due to fast food. For example, the movie Supersize Me, had proven that people are sick and that lead to illness such as stroke, diabetes, and asthma. IT also makes the person feel like their about to vomit and they feel depressed most of the time.
